| Flight Cancellation | |||||||
| If you have travelled on/after 17 February 2005 from an EU airport; or to an EU airport with an EU airline and had a flight cancelled, the EC regulations 261/2004 states you are entitled to the following: | |||||||
| If your flight was cancelled with more than 14 days notice before departure date or; your flight was cancelled with 7-14 days notice before departure date and the alternative flight offered departs within 2 hours and arrives within 4 hours of the original flight times or; your flight was cancelled with less than 7 days notice before depature date and the alternative flight offered departs within 1 hour and arrives within 2 hours of the original flight times, you are entitled to- | |||||||
| a refund of the unused flights of the ticket purchased. If you chose not to continue with your travel plans, you are entitled to a refund of the used flights and a flight back to the original departure airport or; | |||||||
| a rerouted flight to the original destination at the earliest opportunity or at a later date should you agree. If the airline is only able to reroute part of the journey, or the flight arrives at a different destination, they must pay for a transfer from the arrival airport to the original destination, or a destination close-by of your choice. | |||||||
| If your flight was cancelled within 14 and 7 days notice before departure date and the alternative flight offered departs more than 2 hours and arrives more than 4 hours after the original flight times or; your flight was cancelled with less than 7 days notice before the departure date and the alternative flight offered departs more than 1 hour and arrives more than 2 hours after the original flight times, you are entitled to- | |||||||

| and compensation depending upon the length of the journey as follows- | |||||||
| If your length of journey is 1500km or less and you were delayed up to 2 hours you are entitled €125 (Approx £83.00) | |||||||
| If your length of journey is 1500km or less and you were delayed more than 2 hours you are entitled €250 (Approx £166.00) | |||||||
| If your length of journey is 1500-3500km and you were delayed up to 3 hours you are entitled €200 (Approx £133.00) | |||||||
| If your length of journey is 1500-3500km and you were delayed more than 3 hours you are entitled €400 (Approx £266.00) | |||||||
| If your length of journey is 3500km or more and you were delayed up to 4 hours you are entitled €300 (Approx £200.00) | |||||||
| If your length of journey is 3500km or more and you were delayed more than 4 hours you are entitled €600 (Approx £400.00) | |||||||
